Labyrinth

Labyrinth is a 1 1/2 year old black and tan mixed breed who was returned to AWS because his previous family just didn't have enough time for him.  He is exceptionally smart and will pick up nicely in basic obedience class.  He is housetrained, eager to please and will do well with some dogs and children over 12.  Please consider this boy for your family.

Angie

Angie who is 6 years old and is a wonderful loving dog who is trained.  Loves going for walks and rides in the car.  She loves to be petted and to lay underneath you.  Loves attention, but also does not bother you.  She has the best disposition and it not high maintenance.  She is up to date on all her shots and her present owner can’t keep her anymore.  She is great with people and kids, but should go to a home without any other pets. She is not good around other animals.  She (from what  I have been told) is not good if she Is in a cage.  (although was crate trained).  I hope to find Angie a good and loving family who can give her the attention and love and possibly love drives in the car that she deserves.  She loves to lay down next to you and just have you pet her, rub her belly and head.  She is a terrific dog.   She is currently residing in Easton , MA .

Any interest, please leave message for Deb at 508-230-0117.  Or email Lisa at lisann1969@comcast.net.

Savanna

Meet Savanna!

Savanna is a beautiful 1-2 year old female Rottweiler (with a tail), who was found roaming in our town. Savanna is always excited to see the Animal Control Officers; she loves to give kisses, and enjoys eating snow. She knows the basic command of sit-and does so very well for a cookie. She walks okay on a leash, and would do well with some follow up training. She is also housebroken.

Unfortunately, Savanna has food guarding/aggression issues. She is very protective of food/water and her possessions. (i.e. her bone and her blanket, etc.) These issues can be worked on with a trainer!!

Savanna is available to a family with no children. Savanna would also do best as an only pet, as she hasn’t been exposed to many others at our shelter. This girl has such a beautiful smile and she’s waiting for her forever home, one that can show her the affection and training that she deserves.

If you are interested in Savanna please call Enfield Animal Control at 860-763-8944.

Willie

Willie is a unaltered male, 3-5 years old.  He loves going for walks and does good on the leash.  He knows sit, down, and we are working on release for when playing ball.  He shouldn't go to a home with any children.  A submissive female is a possibility.  No other pets.  He will lay down and chew a toy and is not always under foot.  He really enjoys to be petted.  He needs a strong owner but Willie can be fearful.  He has some possession issues that we are working on. Thank you for your help.

Keisha

Keisha is a 5 1/2 years old Rottie/Shepherd mix. She is under the care of animal behaviorist Pat Wright, and the staff of Baywood Kennels in Willington , CT , Keisha will make a great companion to a person that is willing to continue the leadership training techniques that have led to Keisha’s success under Pat's care. She is very bright and eager to please her handler. She is also very food motivated. Keisha would be an excellent candidate for canine law enforcement service.

If you are interested in adopting Keisha, please contact Amy at abpaterson@snet.net or Pat at pwright01@snet.net.
